Service Description

Discuss the commission of original music for your film, tv series, play, or live project. Booking appointments will inspire swiftly and accurately completed compositions. Actively participate in the creation of original music for your project by answering several questions regarding the nature of your project and sharing your desired outcome. Akili will compose the music, and prepare it for use in your project. You can request a completely solo project, or a project with hired talent, electronics and technical support, and are welcome to imagine the unprecedented. Solo projects will be composed with all instruments, drum programming, live percussion, voices, engineering, editing, etc done by Akili Jamal Haynes aka Chibuzo Dunun. A list of available sounds and instruments will be provided. Anything Akili doesn't do live or with midi, or program himself, will be a scenario for hired talent. For instance, if you require a live string section, African drummers, or live band/etc... this will be hired talent. If we need to book studio space or otherwise engage other services to complete the project, that price will be determined by the companies selected and you will have the choice to pay them directly. Pricing for the commission will be set according to the number of components involved and project time allotment. 1st Consultation will be $25 for 30 minutes. This initial consultation will determine the project parameters and whether or not the project booking will be made. Scheduling will commence at the time both parties agree to start the project, and an initial installment of the project payment is made. Scheduling can be communicated via email, or, in certain cases, quick interactions can be made by text once the project has begun. Additional components introduced midway of the project will incur additional costs.
